I have unpacked the paints and brushes

Well, my painting bug is back, after a break of about 5 weeks - I have unpacked my paints and brushes yesterday and started this ocean princess - I painted her with an image in my mind, and this is the little mermaid that emerged. There is a lot of touchable texture in the hair as well as 3D water bubbles!

I have also made a matching necklace of this image which I will send along to the buyer as a free gift, when this mermaid finds a new home. She is painted on a canvas panel measuring 31cm x 60cm and is quite large and eye catching.

Well, I hope you like this little miss - she will be listed on zibbet and etsy very soon - hope you are all well and happy and good, chat soon, Val xoxox

  6. Oooh, she is so sweet! Nice to see that the copycat didn't put you off for good, it would have been a great shame if you didn't pick up your brushes again!

Hey Julie-ann, so goog to hear from you - I havnt been painting much these last few months, but I am back into the swing of things now - I am still getting sidetracked LOTS by my attempts at making jewellery, a lovely little diversion from the paints but I do plan to hit the studio very soon for some serious painting.
