OK everyone - ta-da...

...OK ladies, here it is... my new elaborate wire wrap pendant - this is from the advanced DVD lol - be honest please, what do you think of my first attempt? I basically just started winding with no design in mind - you can sketch out the design first if you want, but I am a bit spontanious, just like with my paintings, I like to start of on a blank canvas and hence, no design in mind for this pedant either - I am pleased with it - now that I have made the first on, I think the rest will come easier, and next time I can work with a shape in mind - I bet you are all glad its not another Tree of Life pendant LOL - cheers all, Val xo

  3. oh wow val!! it's absolutely gorgeous!! really!! is it in silver wires or normal wires?? the only thing i can think of is if the wires were shinier, it would look even more beautiful!!

  4. Hi Luthien, thanks so much :) The pendant is made out of aluminium crafting wires which is excellent for practice - I am not confident enough to use sterling silver wire as that would be a very expensive exercise, especially if I stuff it up and cant sell it - so for now I will keep practicing with the aluminium wire and once I have enough confidence, I plan to make all the pendants in sterling silver. Cheers and hugz, Val xo

  6. Oh dear Val...i love it...its just awesome...and i dont like the very shining wires very much...this way the pearls shine even more...i even would like it when it turnes a bit "blackish"like an old antique pendant..i used to make my silver bracelets a little bit black with some stuff that i dont know the name of anymore...(agething..lol..).you are doing so good on this "freehand"wirering... its very beautyful and unique then...not like a replicate from the books or DVD,s but your own creation!! you can do it...suprise us....you did already with this lovely one!!
    greetings ♥ Francien.

  8. Oh Good Morning Erin, sweet Renee, Francien :) and Kelly - thank you so much for the feedback and great great comments - I have a friend that has gone mad on this new pendant and now she is trying to organize a stall at a very popular Melbounre market (St Kilda Markets) and also wants to take my jewellery and art to a place called Dalesford (which is gorgeous small country town know for all the artists that live their and all their galleries) - she is on a mission and frankly, I am scared LOL - maybe she is 'jumping the gun' here, but her intentions are good and I may just have to go along with whatever she organises in the next few weeks.

Francien, your comments always put a smile on my face (and once again, thank you for my "dollies", they may be working their magic here a bit :)

Will keep you all informed of developments if anything major happens (thank to my friend Desa - or as I like to call her Dezzzzalove!)
