Cabochon Charm Bracelets...

...thanks ladies for all your lovely comments on my previous post - my supplies are arriving in the post in dribs and drabs, still heaps more to arrive - so I am working with what I have at any given time.

I made these two bracelets last night (a great way to spend a quiet evening) and they both have tiny 15mm cabochons with glass domes - I think I like these bracelets the best - there is something about the cabochons that appeals to me so much!

Both bracelets are listed in my Zibbet shop (link in the side bar) and registered postage in Australia is free - please take a look if you get a chance.

Cheers all, "Jewellery Extraordinaire" Val LOL xoxo

Somebody stop me LOL...

...cant help myself, still experimenting and loving the challenge - I have so many cuts and blisters on my fingers, don't know if this is the norm or if I am just plain clumsy!!! Either way, its fun to be holding jewellery pliers instead of a paint brush! Hope you like my attempts - cheers Val xoxo

Cute new dainty charm bracelet...

...OK, after a few tutorials and massive amounts of supplies and tools, I am making jewellery with a vengeance LOL - this is my newest charm bracelet with lots of glass beads and 5 little pewter round trays with different dragonfly photos captured inside them - I am a bit impatient to receive about 9 different orders for beads, chains, clasps, pewter trays, glass cabochons etc which I placed last week, but I don't think they will be here for another week or so, just don't like waiting, that's my problem! Cheers all, Val xo

Look what arrived today in the post... "BBB" (Beautiful Blogger Buddy) Francien of has sent me this lovely package with way too much, so very generous of her - I organised a little trade with Francien, two lovely handmade cards for one of my pendants - but she has included extra cards and a gorgeous 'amulet bag' with worry dolls inside it which she has made herself and I think she is so kind and sweet to have done this, so much more than I expected...

THANK YOU FRANCIEN - I so value our Blogger friendship - Francien always makes time to come to my blog and leave such lovely, long and funny comments and I always have a smile on my face after reading what she has written.

Francien makes these lovely cards as a hobby and for fun, but I really think she should list them and sell them as they are so lovingly made and there is such great detail on them!

I cant thank you enough Francien - cheers for now to everyone and chat soon hopefully, hugz Val xoxo

I may have unfollowed you accidently...

hi buddies, I have been trying to fix up this Blogger problem I have been having with blogs which I am following but not actually being able to see any of their new posts on my Dashboard - I have spent a few hours unfollowing blogs then copying and pasting blog addresses into my "ADD" panel to try and rectify that problem - I think I have done well so far, but I may have unfollowed good Blogger buddies without realising - I know this is all confusing, but please let me know if you notice that I have unfollowed you and I will add you quick smart - sorry about this post, I know its all over the place - I am sure you all understand what I have done here - chat soon, Val xoxo

Another Mermaid Completed... she is, yes I know, another mermaid but my painting "Mermaid 2" had so much interest in it that I had to do another one, but a bit different - this one is on a much larger canvas measuring 41cm x 51cm, so its quite impressive in size.

The bubbles have a 3D effect and the scales and the whole mermaid is outlined in gold 3D paint, for lots of touchable texture - green white and red flowers adorn the mermaids flowing locks :D

I will have this little miss listed on Zibbet shortly - I don't think I will be listing this one on any other sites, Zibbet will do for now.

Cheers all and chat soon, Val xoxo

This Beauty has found a home...

...well, this mermaid has found a new home quick smart LOL which is great - a lady from Tasmania has purchased her and I will be packaging her up today for posting out tomorrow.

Whats even better than the sale itself is the fact that she was my first sale on Zibbet and I cant praise Zibbet high enough at the moment - if you list less than 25 items, there are no listing fees and no commissions - I don't think you can get any better than that!!! The trick now is to get all my eBay crowd over to Zibbet, and I plan to send out a heap of emails to all my buyers to let them know.

A link to my Zibbet shop is in the sidebar - please click on it and take a look at all my items which are listed for sale - Zibbet has a very light feel to it and is very user friendly :)

So as you can well imagine, I am on a bit of high this morning - I have a few blank canvases, one which is 40cm x 50cm and I plan to start a new painting today - I think it will have to be another mermaid painting tho as I have had so many inquiries about my sold painting "Mermaid 2" so I plan to do something similar to that, but different too, if you know what I mean.

I will say bye-bye for now and will be back with a new painting - in the meantime, I wish you all well and lots of happy hours creating your lovely artworks - cheers Val HUGZ xoxoxox

Vintage Doll Painting...

OK, something totally out of 'left field' for me - I took one of my daughter's vintage dolls out of its box and painted from the doll - that was my day today - she is still unfinished, needs to be varnished and perhaps I will do more to the shading of her face (I dont know yet) - but the day just whizzed by for me while I was painting. Now its evening and time for me to be a 'mom' again and make some dinner for the hungry family :D

I am browsing blogger a bit more these days and have even had time to stop by a few blogs and leave comments, yay! Until my next installment, cheers ladies, hugz Val xoxo

Goodness, still pretending to know what I am doing...

...I am still battling along with the jewellery making business thingy - designs are very plain and simple, but thats all I know how to do at the moment - am planning to explore further and maybe buy some HOW TO books and find myself a jewellery suppliers in Melbourne so I can really sink my teeth into it... LOL but its fun tho, and to make things even better, I actually had an etsy sale the other day - WOW was I shocked to realise the sale did not come from eBay, but from ETSY!!! Tell you what, it took me forever to work out why I had a PayPal payment, kept going back and forth between PayPal and eBay until I cracked up laughing when it dawned on me, ITS AN ETSY SALE - this sale was the sweetest for me!
I am still battling with Blogger where apparently I am following someone but their posts are not actually appearing in my Blogger Follow List so I am constantly pasting blog addresses and trying to 'really' follow!
Hope you are all well and good and happy - chat soon and hopefully will have a new painting to post next time I blog! Hugz Val xxx

I have unpacked the paints and brushes

Well, my painting bug is back, after a break of about 5 weeks - I have unpacked my paints and brushes yesterday and started this ocean princess - I painted her with an image in my mind, and this is the little mermaid that emerged. There is a lot of touchable texture in the hair as well as 3D water bubbles!

I have also made a matching necklace of this image which I will send along to the buyer as a free gift, when this mermaid finds a new home. She is painted on a canvas panel measuring 31cm x 60cm and is quite large and eye catching.

Well, I hope you like this little miss - she will be listed on zibbet and etsy very soon - hope you are all well and happy and good, chat soon, Val xoxox

Also, don't forget, the giveaway will end in another week, so enter if you haven't done so.

Now I am making earrings...

Just wanted to know what you think of these cute little earrings? I had a lady contact me, asking if I make matching earrings to my pendants, so I gave it a go.

I think they are very cute, only 1.6cm in height.

I still haven't painted anything new and for the time being I am happy to just play around with my old artwork images with this "jewellery" phase I am going through - but will return to painting soon!

Wishing everyone a great day, cheers all, Val xoxo
