Owl Cabochon Bead Wire Wrapped Pendant...

...couldn't help myself ladies - had this idea last night about incorporating my little cabochon art trays into the wire wrapped pendants so here it is - I have wrapped the wire around the cabochon and then added cream melon glass beads, jasper beads and Swaroski crystals - together with lots of aluminium wire wrapped patterns - hope you like it - I think an owl enthusiast would not be able to resist this one :)

Good Morning Bloogers...

...hope you are all having a great Sunday!!

This is my newest pendant, in shades of cream and white with clear Swarowski Crystals -I am still experimenting and getting experience for when I receive my sterling silver wire with the real gems, cant wait!

Also wanted to say that I just reserved 4 pieces of jewellery from my Zibbet shop for a lady in NSW - also, I sold 3 pendants in the last week, so for this week, that's 7 sales - I am loving Zibbet - also FB and Twitter are excellent, they have brought me these last 7 sales.

Just wanted to share my good news about sales - cheers and chat soon, Val xo

Moving Up...will be costly tho LOL

...hi ladies - its a lovely sunny (but chilly) Saturday morning here and as usual, I am browsing Blogger and having my morning coffee :D

I have already had heaps of people DM me (even from RedBubble) asking if I make these in sterling silver with real gems - this pendant is getting lots of interest and that is GREAT!

So... of course... I have jumped on Etsy and made a massive order from one shop for sterling silver wire as well as real gems in all colours that I can incorporate into these kinds of pendants - I am so excited and once again cannot wait to receive the package.

I must put aside my litter wire pliers (all 7 of them) and do home stuff over the next few days as I have seriously neglected housework and spending quality time with the kids - time to put on my Super Mom costume once again :)

Thank you all for your beautiful comments - wishing you all the best - we will chat soon, cheers Val xoxoxoxo

Plum/Burgandy Freshwater Pearl Pendant :)

...this one started with a design in mind - the glass heart was the first bead I threaded and the design happened around the heart - still looks haphazard to me LOL but there is order in the madness I suppose - I would like to thank all you lovely ladies for your great comments, encouragement and most of all your friendship - thanks to blogger and all the talented people I have met here, I have been inspired to try new things and have grown so much in these last 6 months. HUGZ to all, Val xo

ps I am at a loss as to how much to list this pendant for, any help? all I can tell you is that it took me 5 solid hours to make :)

OK everyone - ta-da...

...OK ladies, here it is... my new elaborate wire wrap pendant - this is from the advanced DVD lol - be honest please, what do you think of my first attempt? I basically just started winding with no design in mind - you can sketch out the design first if you want, but I am a bit spontanious, just like with my paintings, I like to start of on a blank canvas and hence, no design in mind for this pedant either - I am pleased with it - now that I have made the first on, I think the rest will come easier, and next time I can work with a shape in mind - I bet you are all glad its not another Tree of Life pendant LOL - cheers all, Val xo

New Pendants...finally

...FINALLY - my DVDs arrived yesterday and I could not wait to put them on and watch them - wow the design becomes so simple once you see it made once - these two pendants I made last night after watching the DVDs - now I plan to sit down and make some more, but they are much more elaborate and harder to do - I look forward to it tho as I have all the supplies I need to begin!

...last one, I promise LOL

Red Glass Chips Tree of Life Pendant...

...good morning creative ladies, hope you are all having a great week :)!

This is another pendant I completed last night - I am constantly trying to find beads that would look great in this kind of design and I think this red on is very striking - sorry for all these pendant posts, some of you may be getting a bit sick of them, which I would understand fully - but these pendants are the flavor of the month LOL

My hubby and I finished all our jobs on the farm yesterday and today it feels great to just sit in my warm kitchen, watching TV, surfing the net...and all that in my PJs still at 10am :) - but I am going for comfort and relaxation right now and I feel another coffee is in order straight after this post!

OK buddies, that's all for me for today, take care you all and I will chat with you soon, cheers Val xo

Lookie what I just received in the mail...

...these two great books arrived today and I am so excited - so much great information about jewellery making inside them, I so look forward to sitting down tonight and going through them cover to cover - the lovely Nicola from piked me as the lucky winner of this great giveaway.

Thank you so much Nicola - I love the books!!!

Please visit Nicolas blog and see the amazing jewellery she creates - I am a big admirer of Nicola's creations :D

Wisteria & Pink Eye Bead "Tree of Life" Pendants newest little pendants - the purple and green look great together in the first one... the pink glass eye beads look a bit out there, but I love it! Anyway, I have been so busy working and helping hubby around the farm these last few days that I am so bone weary, so tired - every muscle in my body is hurting - so I haven't had much time to create/paint/wind...but every evening, when I am relaxing after the kids have been put to bed, I have had heaps of time to check out all the new posts and stop by and leave heaps of comments, something I have neglected to do lately.

Anyway, still a few more days of "hard yakka" around the farm and then I plan to crawl into bed and sleep for a week - chat soon buddies, Val xo

Aluminium Cherry Blossom Tree of Life...

...good morning everyone...I made these two pendants last night while 'relaxing' with hubby, watching TV. I am a bit like a 'dog with a bone'...I will not let go and stop making these until I perfect them and then I will move onto something else.

I really should get back to painting...I actually have a yearning to pick up a paint brush but its still very cold in Melbourne (even tho we are half way through spring) and I am not wanting to go to my freezing studio to not yet I have decided... for now I will keep making these little wire wrap beauties, by the heater, with a minimum of mess or work space needed!

Chat soon Bloggers, Val xo

Dragonfly wire wrapped pendant...

...hello ladies - geeez I have been posting so much lately, so sorry if I am bothering anyone :)

Well, I seem to be setting myself challenges that seem to take longer and longer to achieve - the tree of life pendants were taking me approx. 2 hours to make - this dragonfly pendant has taken me three times as long - all day I have been toiling, delicately winding - but voila! finally done - my next pendant will be a wire wrapped owl (I think that one should be easier) - hope you like my dragonfly pendant.

Cheers all and I hope you are all well and good - Val xoxo

Lots of Colours - Tree of LIfe

this is my fave, by far...but now I am sitting here looking at my poor tired fingers and, I swear, I have blisters on my fingertips...well...I guess there is a first time for everything LOL - someone once said to me that we suffer for our art...we sure do...nite nite all, Val

Definitely New and Imporved...Tree of Life

...well, this is what you get when you work with the proper tools and supplies - plus take your sweet time making it - 2 hours it took me to make the Tree of Life pendans, each, but I love them! :D Also, the mermaid coral slice took ages to wrap with copper wire too but it is so so so much fun!

I still haven't received my DVDs on various wire wrapping styles, but in the meantime, I will keep making these Tree of Life pendants, practice practice practice, makes perfect :D

Hope you like my newest creation, cheers Val xo

NEW and IMPROVED jewellery :D

...hello ladies, hope you are all well and happy and creating lots of lovely handmade goodies :D

So...while I was in Surfers on holidays, I found an amazing shop where I bought a few things, mainly coral slices which look amazing done up as a pendant - I have just listed this new necklace on Zibbet and I think it is so appropriate to put an image of a mermaid on a coral slice - WOW, I am so pleased with this unique pendant!!!

Also, I found an unbelievable jewellery supplies warehouse in Melbourne and shopped up a storm there yesterday - no more buying stuff over the Internet and Etsy for me - I returned home, minus a few hundred dollars, with a bag full of stunning beads, chains, charm and bits and pieces. They are so lovely and I plan to get stuck into the jewellery making mania once again. So keep a lookout on my Zibbet store as there will be heaps of new pieces added over the next few days.

OK then, that's it for now - chat soon my buddies - hugz Val xo

Home Sweet Home...

... just having fun on the beach...

...Maya all ready for dinner at a restaurant...

...looking for Hermit Crabs and shells ...

...frolicking around the hotel pool...

...ready for a night out on the town :D

Hey Bloggers - I am baaaaaackkkkkkk - the holidays just flew by (as they do) but we had a great time and the weather was really great for the whole 7 days we were in Gold Coast.

We flew back home this afternoon into typical Melbourne weather (13C degrees and rain) - but we were glad to be home - we missed our pony, cat, dog and fishes :D

My suitcases doubled on the way home (we had to buy anther suitcase last night) - I just do not think I shopped that much, but there was enough for extra luggage - but hey, that is my favourite pass time - while the hubby is with the kids at the pools or beach, I am SHOPPING ;-}

Life back to normal now, kids back at school tomorrow, hubby on the farm and me washing two suitcases worth of clothes :( but not complaining - its great to be home!

I will be picking a winner for the giveaway tomorrow - not too many to pick from, only nine people, so it should be easy going - also I may throw in a second prize too - chat soon, Val xo
